Building the Next 20 Years of REC
Build & Sustain Capital Campaign
Over the past 20 years, REC has built a school-based afterschool tutoring and enrichment model that is a leader in Colorado for both its structure and outcomes. School-based programs will continue to be our primary focus. However, to uphold REC’s values of quality and consistency for students, it is important that we develop an alternative model.
The Build and Sustain Campaign will provide the space and sustaining operational funding for Club REC. This alternative model will increase REC’s ability to weather the peaks and valleys of grant funding while continuing to serve the highest-need students and families. Club REC will allow REC to transport students to a central location when grant funds are too limited to operate full school-based programs. It will also support lower-cost, more expansive summer and school-break programming, while creating opportunities for REC to serve high-need students from schools where we do not currently operate a full school-based tutoring program.
REC’s 20th anniversary is the perfect time to build the infrastructure and programming needed to sustain our work for another 20 years, serving the kids and families who need it most.
