Administrative Assistant

Riverside Educational Center (REC) is a private, non-profit corporation 501(c)(3) that has been serving the community since 2006, providing structured tutoring and diverse extra-curricular activities in the after school hours for academically and financially qualifying 1st-12th grade students in order to improve academic achievement and foster positive social and emotional development in a safe and supportive environment. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to REC administrative staff.

Riverside Educational Center (REC) is a private, non-profit corporation 501(c)(3) that has been serving the community since 2006, providing structured tutoring and diverse extra-curricular activities in the after-school hours for academically and financially qualifying 1st-12th grade students in order to improve academic achievement and foster positive social and emotional development in a safe and supportive environment. 


The Administrative Assistant will provide support to REC administrative staff.


Office phone

● Answer program inquiries and assist with programming communications to families

Data entry

● Data entry including donor, student, staff, and volunteer

● Some database management

● Assist with completion of surveys required by grants

● Snack tracking and paperwork

Attendance

● Ensure program managers turn in attendance

● Enter and track as required by grants, including EZ report entry


Calendars


● Manage all program calendars for staff, website, and families, plus respond to parent inquiries

● Translating coordination

● Help programs translate parent communications to ensure accessibility 


Fundraising


● Activities associated with REC’s annual fundraising event, Taste of Riverside

IT Support

● Assists with technical support in Admin buildings

● Assists Program Assistant


Other duties as assigned


● Office errands and ordering supplies

● Human Resource assistance (when needed)

● Supporting Senior Program Director


Qualifications


● High school graduation and some college or degree preferred

● Strong computer skills

● Proficiency in Google Suite or ability to learn

● Strong organizational skills

● Ease in interacting with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team

● Effective oral and written communication skills

● Spanish speaker a plus


Position Details


● Full-time- 40 hrs./week

● Health Insurance or Health Stipend

● $18-$19/hour, based on education and experience

● Accrued PTO

● 1 week each scheduled PTO in December and July
