Job title: Snack Assistant/Operations Assistant
Supervisor: Operations Director

Job Summary

Riverside Educational Center provides after school tutoring and enrichment to fifteen D51 schools serving up to fifty students per site. The intent of this position is to ease and support these programs, from the background, through various tasks related to snack, fleet, and building operations.

Requisitos

Responsibilities

3-4 hours daily/intermediate:

  • Snack Assistance

  • Snack preparation

  • Site monitor visits

  • Clean up prep area

  • Sanitation

  • Sweep/Mop Kitchen

  • Grocery shopping as needed

4-5 hours daily/intermediate:

  • Regular visits to all REC buses to complete the following tasks:

  • Regular low level bus maintenance

  • Fuel REC vehicles

  • Check Tire Pressure and fluid level

  • Fill out maintenance log

  • Document bus mileage logs-Monthly

  • Supplies in buses tracked and updated- Checklist of all items followed

  • Scheduling buses for routine servicing-oil changes, brakes, Seafoam, A/C etc.

  • Regular low level building/warehouse upkeep:

  • Taking out trash

  • Sweeping warehouse

  • Manage recycling

  • Building maintenance (general repairs) exterior and interior

  • Landscape maintenance (Watering planters/ trees and shrubs, parking lot cleanup, salt outside snow/ice)

  • Checking and restocking building supplies/ trash bag availability

  • Clean bathrooms

  • Tidy office space

  • Spot clean approved areas

  • Liason for building repairs

  • Unload supplies to predetermined area (water jugs)

  • Submit receipts daily

  • Manage cleaning checklist

  • Administrative assistance

  • Other tasks as assigned

Physical demands

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

  • Food prep/Kitchen experience preferred

  • Willingness to learn and adhere to CDPHE guidelines

  • Strong management skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of G Suite and Microsoft Office products

  • Spanish speaker a plus

  • Ability to drive a 14-passenger bus preferred.  No special license needed.

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report required

  • Knowledge of or experience with basic vehicle and building maintenance is a plus, but not required.

Position Details

  • Must be 21 (to operate our fleet)

  • $17.50-$19.50/hr  (Hourly compensation rate based on qualifications and experience)

  • Full Time, 40 hours/week.

  • $500/month health stipend (adjusted with group insurance)

  • $25/month Phone Stipend

  • Vacation/PTO:  Accrued PTO (PTO is in conjunction with HWFA sick leave)

  • Ten (10)  paid holidays

  • One week (5 days) scheduled PTO in December

  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays

  • In-office work hours required
