Job Summary


The Facilities Manager plans, directs, and evaluates the daily operations and activities of the

fleet, custodial, kitchen, and admin facilities at Riverside Educational Center.

Facilities


● Provide oversight and leadership to direct reports. Set direction, evaluate performance, and align

necessary resources to develop and achieve swift results

● Maintain detailed cost management records and continually review costs associated with fleet and

facilities

● Conduct quality control and safety inspections of facilities, fleet and equipment; ensure adherence to safe work procedures.

● Gain approval and schedule with contractors for large building repair


Fleet


● Coordinate with Fleet Mechanic on small repairs as appropriate

● Schedule routine maintenance on the fleet

● Maintain a regular schedule for fueling the fleet

● Sending fleet logs to office staff weekly

● Maintain records to track vehicle registrations, titles, etc

● Ensuring cleanliness of the fleet (inside and out)

● On call for emergency during program hours


Custodial


● Provide oversight to the custodian

● Maintain custodial schedule

● Maintain the Custodial checklist

● Coordinate with the Custodian for emergency responsibilities


Kitchen


● Ensure all Health Department protocols are being followed

● Coordinate with the Snack Manager in ensuring all snack monitoring and grant tracking is completed as needed

● Ensure organization and cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas

● Provide oversight to the Snack Manager


Qualifications

● Very good physical condition and strength

● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

● Familiarity with landscaping and handyman practices

● Knowledge of or experience with basic building maintenance

● Knowledge of building codes and regulations

● Attention to detail and conscientiousness

● Effective oral and written communication skills

● Strong knowledge of G Suite

● Ability to drive a 14-passenger bus preferred. No special license needed.

● Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report required

● Ability to manage multiple employees

● Strong multi-tasking skills

● Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Position Details


● Full-time (40 hours per week)

● $22-$23/hr. Hourly compensation rate based on qualifications and experience

● Accrued 2 weeks PTO per year

● 2 weeks scheduled PTO, 1 week (5 days) in July, 1 week (5 days) in December

● Health Insurance (Organizationally paid) or Health Stipend

● $25/cell phone stipend

● Aflac (optional)
