About the Job

A Site Manager is responsible for overseeing fifty to seventy students at an individual school in the after-school hours. Oversight areas include tutoring, enrichment, case management, parent engagement, and community events. Site Managers create a tutoring environment, so students, staff, and volunteers are productively working together towards high academic achievement as well as social and emotional development.

Requirements

Academic Planning (10hrs/wk)

  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers for student-specific input and academic support.

  • Ensure individual student folders are updated weekly with individual lesson plans for students.

  • Review students' grades and missing assignments.

Enrichment Planning (4hrs/wk)

  • Plan and schedule off site enrichment activities that align with desired academic outcomes.

  • Plan and schedule diverse onsite enrichment activities that align with desired academic outcomes

Program Implementation (15 hrs/wk)

  • Implement program structure based on program rubric.

  • Implement planned academic and enrichment programming.

  • Implement and oversee a Positive Behavior Support system.

  • Provide individual support for students.

  • Implement effective student check-in/check-out process.

  • Guide and direct staff/volunteers during programming.

  • Build relationships and maintain regular communication with school staff including, Teachers, Custodians, Principals, Secretary, etc.

  • Attend school events and staff meetings as necessary

  • Coordinate with BOTVIN/IRAPT managers to supplement SEL lessons for students

Staff / Admin  (5hrs/wk)

  • Ensure adequate staff/volunteer coverage and structure for an effective tutoring environment.

  • Ensure all staff sign-in/sign-out daily.

  • Oversee site budget, and expense management.

  • Review all staff time cards weekly and approve before submitting for payroll.

  • Facilitate regular staff meetings with an agenda and minutes.

  • Attend Managers’ meetings regularly and be available during designated work hours

  • Gather and submit weekly student data to Operations (registration information, attendance, snack attendance etc.)

  • Complete training hours as required.

  • Evaluate site staff on a regular basis and work to develop and implement improvement plans as needed

  • Support staff in the training of academic best practices, including teaching and tutoring techniques

Family Engagement (6hrs/wk)

  • Communicate regularly with parents

  • Follow up with families when students have poor attendance.

  • Ensure students and families are regularly informed about upcoming events, activities, etc.

  • Coordinate additional family supports/resources as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
Proficiency in or capacity to learn Google Suite
Prefer individual experienced working with at-risk youth
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective oral and written communication skills
Spanish speaker a plus

Position Details

Hourly
$19-$22/hour based on experience
1 week each scheduled PTO in December and July
2 weeks flexible PTO annually
10 paid holidays
$500/ month Health stipend and $25/ month Phone Stipend
Mileage reimbursement
Some occasional Saturdays and other non-school days for outdoor programming and field trips.
In-office work hours required: minimum 10/wk
Program Onsite work hours required: minimum 15/ wk
Flexible offsite hours: up to 15/ wk
